Survey description
The one-year survey is the second stage of telephone follow-up after the inclusion of Elfe children in the maternity ward. Between the previous two-month telephone survey and this one, parents were asked to fill in online or paper questionnaires to monitor their child’s diet (see 2-10 month diet survey).
The main objectives of the one-year telephone survey are to monitor the child’s development at a time of rapid change, to obtain information on health and childcare, and to document changes in the family and the home. It’s also an opportunity to find out about the values that are important to parents, their early child-rearing practices, their childhood and maternal health since childbirth.
To avoid repeating questions already documented in the two-month survey, information taken from the maternity or two-month survey was used to filter the questionnaire for the one-year survey.
Based on the 18,041 families who had given their consent in the maternity hospital, the one-year survey could be carried out completely or incompletely on 14,442 families (81.7%).
