Survey description
The 2-year survey is the 3rd stage of telephone follow-up following the inclusion of Elfe children in the maternity ward. Its main objectives are to continue collecting data on the child’s environment (family, social, economic, cultural, nutritional, toxic, etc.), to record any changes in situation, to question parents about their educational and cultural practices, and to document the stages of the child’s psychomotor development and early health events.
The telephone survey was supplemented by information gathered from the attending physician by means of a questionnaire brought in by the parents on the occasion of their 24th-month check-up. Finally, a "Recueil minimal" questionnaire was sent by post to families not responding to the telephone survey or living abroad, containing a limited number of questions identically asked in the telephone survey.
Based on the 18,041 families recruited in maternity wards, the telephone survey was carried out completely or incompletely with 13,277 families (78%), a GP questionnaire was returned by 7,575 families, and 239 families returned the "Recueil minimal" questionnaire.
